Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver near Richmond (77471) with reliable transportation to make it to work and provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those you serve. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management techniques for individuals with autism or other behavioral challenges
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times
Skills:
- Experience working with senior citizens or individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of assisted living and senior care practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with home care or nursing home settings
