Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver near Richmond (77471) with reliable transportation to make it to work and provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those you serve. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Implement behavior management techniques for individuals with autism or other behavioral challenges
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times
Skills:
  • Experience working with senior citizens or individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of assisted living and senior care practices
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with home care or nursing home settings
