Job Description

▎ We are hiring an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, prove out, and optimize programs for our 5-axis milling centers and 9-axis mill-turn centers using Esprit EDGE. This is a hands-on role — you will program the job, set up the machine, run the first article, and own the process through to production release. Strong candidates are programmers who came up through the shop floor and still like being on it.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop CNC programs in Esprit EDGE for 5-axis simultaneous milling and mill-turn with B-Axis Swivel Head (turning, live tooling, sub-spindle, Y-axis) ▎
  • Import and work from customer models and prints — STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, DXF, PDF ▎
  • Select tooling, design and specify workholding and fixturing ▎
  • Edit, tune, and maintain post-processors for Kitamura and Mori Seiki machines ▎
  • Perform machine setups, offsets, and first-article proveout ▎
  • Verify first articles against print requirements and GD&T callouts using precision measuring equipment ▎
  • Document and release repeatable processes to machinists and operators ▎
  • Optimize cycle time, tool life, and process reliability on repeat production runs ▎
  • Provide realistic setup time and cycle time estimates to support quoting ▎
  • Follow
ISO 9001
2015 / AS9100D-aligned quality and material traceability procedures ▎
EQUIPMENT YOU WILL PROGRAM

  • Kitamura HX500 — 5-axis simultaneous horizontal machining center ▎
  • Kitamura HX400 — 4-axis horizontal machining center ▎
  • Kitamura Mycenter 7X — 3-axis vertical machining center ▎ ▎ Turning /
Mill-Turn:
  • Mori Seiki NT4200 — 9-axis mill-turn, up to 70" part length ▎
  • Mori Seiki NT1000Z (x2) — 9-axis mill-turn with sub-spindle, Y-axis, live tooling
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&T ▎
  • Experience machining difficult materials — titanium, nickel superalloys, or hardened stainless ▎
  • Competent with precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges ▎
  • Ability to perform own machine setups and first-article proveouts ▎
  • Must be a U.
S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62) due to defense and export-controlled work ▎ ▎
