Permanent Employment Help for . The Personal Caregiver is a member of the home care team who provides physical and mental support for the clients, performs light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship and basic personal care.
Qualifications:
Must be at least eighteen years old and preferably a high school graduate.
Must have one (1) year of relevant experience as a homemaker/companion or personal caregiver.
Must be able to read, write, follow verbal and written instructions, and document the services provided.
Must be self-directed and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must have at least three (3) satisfactory references and pass all pre-employment screens. Reports to Caregiver Coordinator.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with personal care (bathing, dressing, incontinent care), ambulation, and transfers.
Provides companionship to the client.
Performs basic daily duties of running the household: light housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, laundry, etc.
Observes the client for general physical, emotional, and mental conditions, and reports all changes in condition to the Case Manager.
Keeps appropriate records of all activity while in the client's home.
Provides a sense of security for the client and protects the client as much as possible, from any harm resulting from the debilitating effects of his or her illness.
Communicates availability for work to the Case Manager.
Limitations:
1) May not administer medications.
2) May not perform procedures or skills requiring the knowledge, training, or skills of a licensed nurse. Embark Care is looking to hire immediately for an experienced caregiver in Grayson County. This schedule is more than one case assignment, stacked for full-time work. Other open cases in surrounding areas, and fill in shifts are available. You must have previous caregiver experience, a valid driver license to be considered for some cases, and reliable transportation with current insurance. •Direct Deposit pay.
