Duties Provide direct personal care assistance to clients, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to detect any changes or concerns promptly. Support clients with mobility using appropriate transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient progress, medication schedules, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Offer emotional support and companionship while respecting residents' rights and cultural preferences. Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare professionals, ensuring all needs are addressed effectively. Skills Fluency in Hindi or Urdu is essential for effective communication with clients and their families. Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism supports your ability to provide specialized assistance. Strong patient observation skills to monitor health changes and respond appropriately. Experience with medication administration, vital signs measurement, CPR/First Aid certification is advantageous. Familiarity with patient transfer methods including manual handling techniques and heavy lifting safety protocols. Ability to follow detailed care plans while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
