Responsibilities Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift, ensuring a secure environment. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities. Observe and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track health status. Respond promptly to residents' needs or emergencies using proper first aid and CPR techniques when necessary. Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through behavior management strategies and compassionate engagement. Maintain cleanliness by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring a hygienic environment. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and geriatrics enhances your ability to support residents effectively. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation needs if necessary. Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members about care plans and resident needs. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe patient lifting practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous.
