As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a vital part of a team committed to delivering high-quality, respectful, and tailored care that enhances quality of life. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medications accurately according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns Assist with home organization and light cleaning to ensure a safe and hygienic environment Support clients with transportation for appointments or community activities as needed Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively in emergencies Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and patient monitoring techniques Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, HIPAA compliance, and patient personal care assistance Ability to operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform manual handling safely Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for client outings is advantageous Join us in creating a caring environment where your skills directly impact lives.
