Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be skilled in assisting with daily living activities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Must be able to live with clients for three straight days 4 to 5 days a week. Must have dependable transportation to transport clients. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space, including light housekeeping tasks. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs. Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Experience Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas: First aid and CPR certification is preferred. Previous work in home health, hospice care, or assisted living environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is beneficial. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges. Experience in meal preparation, cleaning, caregiving, and direct support roles is advantageous.
