Job Description

Seeking a reliable, detailed Household Assistant for a private home (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8 AM - 1 PM, 15 hrs/wk, with potential to expand). Role is roughly 50% scratch cooking/kitchen management and 50% hands-on personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Scratch Cooking & Kitchen Hygiene:
Prepare fresh daily breakfast and lunch for 2 adults following written recipes step-by-step. Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, cross-contamination rules (using prep bowls for spices/condiments), and three-bin waste sorting. Hands-On Personal Care (Bedridden Client): Provide full personal care for a bedridden gentleman with Huntington's Disease (mild cognitive issues). Duties include bed showers/baths, brief changes, repositioning, meal feeding, and assisting with bed-based physical therapy exercises.
Hygiene & Area Maintenance:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all working areas (kitchen, master bedroom, and master bathroom). You are expected to leave all care and food-prep areas as clean, sanitized, and tidy as you found them at the start of your shift.
Requirements:
Excellent personal standards for cleanliness, organization, and hygiene. Experienced and comfortable with total bedridden care routines (bed baths, incontinence care, bed-based assistance). Must genuinely enjoy scratch cooking from written recipes and follow daily instructions without conflict. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and provide a valid Driver's License and Social Security card for insurance verification.
