Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and updates in compliance with healthcare standards and privacy laws. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment that encourages social interaction and mental stimulation. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and maintaining a safe environment.
