The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home care, assisted living, and group homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care, patient observation, and effective communication. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other conditions. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences of clients. Assist with medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or direct support professional is preferred. Familiarity with first aid, CPR, and basic nursing skills is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and ability to recognize changes in behavior or condition. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients and their families. Knowledge of care plans and experience in long-term care settings is beneficial.
