Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to foster independence and confidence. Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management techniques, and mandated reporting laws when necessary. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress, needs, and daily activities. Administer basic first aid and CPR when required, maintaining a safe environment at all times. Assist with daily routines such as meal times, naps, hygiene, and transportation as needed. Requirements Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to plan creative activities tailored to children's interests and developmental levels. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
