Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including private homes, and community environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients. All positions are paid and require a proactive approach to delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' health status by checking vital signs, administering medication as per care plans, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining proper food safety standards Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social activities to promote community involvement and independence Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to ensure overall well-being Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior; experience with patient monitoring is essential Knowledge of specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism or intellectual disabilities support Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling and heavy lifting is advantageous Familiarity with creating and following individualized care plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards for client confidentiality Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams across diverse settings Join us if you're passionate about providing empathetic caregiving that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably.
