Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun. Ensure safety by adhering to child supervision best practices and maintaining a secure environment at all times. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and needs. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure the health and safety of those in your care. Support children with disabilities by implementing tailored care strategies that foster independence and inclusion. Follow mandated reporting laws to accurately report any concerns related to child welfare or safety issues. Qualifications Experience working with children of various ages, including infants, preschoolers, and elementary school students. Prior experience caring for individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
