Benevolent Hearts Home Care provides specialized dementia training focused on creating more positive interactions between clients and caregivers in the home care setting. At Benevolent Hearts Home Care , we are building a specialized team of caregivers who understand that behaviors are communication. Our goal is to help caregivers develop the skills and confidence needed to create calmer, more successful interactions with clients living with dementia. We're looking for caregivers who are comfortable supporting seniors living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory loss, sundowning, wandering, and other dementia-related behaviors. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one care for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care Use redirection, validation, and other dementia-friendly communication approaches Support clients experiencing cognitive and behavioral changes Create meaningful engagement and companionship Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed Monitor changes in condition and communicate concerns to the care team Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols Requirements Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience with experience supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. Comfortable supporting clients with memory loss, dementia-related behaviors, wandering, sundowning, and resistance to care . Reliable transportation Valid driver's license and current auto insurance Ability to pass a background screening Ideal Experience Alzheimer's Caregiving Dementia Caregiving Memory Care Home Care CNA certification (not a requirement, but helpful) Experience with wandering, sundowning, redirection, and behavioral support Daytime and Overnight Shifts Available. Behavioral care differentials available for caregivers supporting clients with more complex dementia-related behaviors.
