Job Description

Job Overview Together we Shine is seeking a caring, compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a supported living home, helping them build independence, achieve personal goals, and live fulfilling lives through respectful, person-centered care. Position Overview Provide support to multiple clients in a supported living home environment. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and community inclusion. Key Responsibilities Assist client with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility support) Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and support household routines Monitor health status, observe changes, take vital signs, and report concerns to appropriate professionals Help this client with a trach Maintain accurate documentation of care, progress, and incident reports Engage clients in social, recreational, and community activities Transport clients to appointments and community outings Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment Provide behavioral supports as needed Complete additional duties as assigned

  • 8:45 AM Important Requirements Must be willing to help client with her medical needs (training will be provided) Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years old Successful background check clearance Valid driver's license Reliable vehicle with full coverage insurance CPR and First Aid Certification required Preferred (Not Required) 1 year of caregiving experience Experience in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home and community-based care Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Pay $14.
00/hour during onboarding Increases to $16.00/hour once hiring paperwork is completed
