Our Direct Care Staff play an important role in helping the individuals we serve live safe, fulfilling, and as independent lives as possible. We are looking for team members who are patient, respectful, reliable, and comfortable providing support based on each individual's unique needs. Responsibilities Providing supervision and support Assisting residents with daily living skills and personal care as needed Supporting residents with meals, household tasks, hygiene, and daily routines Following individual support plans and behavioral support strategies Using appropriate de-escalation techniques Administering or assisting with medications according to training and company procedures Completing required daily documentation accurately and on time Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment Communicating professionally with residents, coworkers, supervisors, families, and members of the individual's support team Following Sky Home Services policies and all applicable safety and care requirements Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA privacy standards and resident rights regulations. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in hospice care or specialized dementia training are a plus. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; compassionate caregiving mindset essential for success. We are looking for someone to fill our swing shift which is from 3-7PM, but we also have multiple shifts available and can work with most schedules! Come join our team and make a difference.
