Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this energetic role, you will provide personalized support to promote independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, and home care environments. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive the highest quality of care while fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and laundry Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and assist with mobility exercises to promote independence Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies Skills Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings; familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and developmental disabilities care is highly valued Proficiency in CPR, First Aid, and basic life support (BLS) to respond effectively during emergencies Ability to work with individuals requiring specialized memory or hospice care with compassion and patience Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility; comfort using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times Join us in providing dedicated caregiving that enriches lives!
