Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one support to students in a school-based setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve success both academically and socially while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs in the classroom and throughout the school campus. Assist students with activities of daily living, including toileting, grooming, feeding, and personal hygiene, as needed. Support student mobility, transfers, and positioning while following appropriate safety procedures. Assist with implementing behavior intervention plans and classroom routines under the direction of school staff. Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to promote student independence. Monitor student safety during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and community-based instruction. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, nurses, and other school personnel to support each student's educational goals. Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies and confidentiality guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Paraprofessional, Caregiver, or in a related role is preferred. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, autism, or special needs is highly preferred. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist students safely when required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and team-oriented. Ability to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
