Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, conducting patient observation, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal presentation and feeding as required. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare providers. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards through regular cleaning duties, including laundry, room tidying, and sanitation of common areas. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or outings, ensuring safety and comfort during travel. Document care activities accurately in compliance with resident's rights policies and home health protocols. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or hospice care enhances your ability to support individuals with complex needs. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs measurement and patient observation is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information. Hands-on experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, or intellectual disabilities supports diverse client needs.
