Responsibilities Provide personalized patient care, assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement of residents Maintain accurate care plans, document patient observations, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy Support residents' rights by fostering respectful communication and promoting independence within the community setting Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and resident rights in healthcare settings Ability to assist with personal transportation and support residents in community outings or appointments A compassionate attitude combined with physical stamina to support long shifts in a caregiving environment Must live in Central Virginia area Join us as a Sponsored Residential Provider to empower individuals through dedicated care and compassionate service.
