MUST HAVE PERSONAL CARE AIDE CERTIFICATION

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support and a strong understanding of care plans, vital signs, and the unique needs of clients, including those with dementia or disabilities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance. Implement care plans tailored to each client's individual needs. Monitor and record vital signs as required. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being. Assist with home community care tasks, ensuring a safe and clean living environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of clients at all times. Requirements Proven experience in personal care or direct support roles is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus. Familiarity with assisted living environments and working with individuals with disabilities is desirable. Experience in dementia care will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide consistent support.
