Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Qualifications Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred, especially in residential or home & community care settings Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, geriatrics, and memory care practices Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges highly desirable Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely if required for resident outings or errands Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and safe patient lifting practices consistently Familiarity with resident's rights and ethical caregiving standards to ensure respectful treatment at all times Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives the respect, attention, and support they deserve.
