Personal Care Aide

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and promote a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Monitor residents' vital signs, observe for changes in health status, and report findings accurately to nursing staff or supervisors Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring resident spaces are hygienic and comfortable Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments, outings, or community activities Document resident interactions, care provided, and observations clearly in compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA Requirements Prior experience working with individuals in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and supporting residents with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members while respecting residents' rights Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities supports your success in this role Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to patient personal care assistance and caregiving excellence Join us as a Personal Care Aide if you're passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives through dedicated caregiving.
