Job Description
We have openings for Residential staff Night Workers at Timber Ridge School, a 12-month residential treatment center licensed and fully approved by the Virginia Dept of Education. Our campus is located about 20 miles north of Winchester, Virginia. Our employees transform the lives of emotionally and behaviorally challenged adolescent boys between the ages of 10-21, with a goal of reuniting them successfully with their families and community. - Overnight Youth Worker MUST have the ability to remain awake and alert
- Supervising students overnight in a teamwork approach during morning routines
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Maintain computer records
- Ability to assist with potential physical interventions
- Must have the ability to follow students on foot across large rural campus
- Ability to set limits on behavior and enforce rules
- Monitoring and recording behaviors Requirements
- Must have Valid Driver's License
- Must be at least 21 years old
- GED or high school diploma required plus 6 months experience working with teenagers OR Associates Degree plus 3 months experience working with teenagers OR Bachelor's Degree.
- Volunteering experience with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Daycare, Coaching or Boy Scouts a PLUS.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
