Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and caring Part-Time Caregiver to join our team in Orange, VA. This vital role involves providing personalized support to clients in their homes or community settings, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. You will play an essential role in assisting clients with daily activities and supporting their health and happiness. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health status is maintained. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning. Support clients with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations. Help with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts. Maintain cleanliness of the client's environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks. Offer companionship and emotional support while respecting residents' rights and preferences. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Familiarity with patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication management, and care planning. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in hospice or geriatrics is a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting or manual handling safely when assisting with transfers or mobility needs.
