In this vital role, you will ensure that kennels and animal care areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and comfort. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, healthy environment for animals awaiting adoption or receiving veterinary care. This paid position offers an opportunity to work closely with animals, supporting their well-being. Our staff enjoy the affection from many loving animals and the opportunity to be a part of our animals for finding a loving adoptive parent. Your work at EGHS can be very rewarding as we work to rescue many unwanted animals that are in need of a loving home. Duties Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of kennels, cages, and animal housing areas using appropriate cleaning agents. Assist with animal handling and movement during cleaning, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Follow strict safety protocols during all tasks, to protect yourself and the animals. Must be committed to your shift and be dependable Must have some type of experience in owning or working with cats and dogs. Must keep work stations cleaned and supplies re stocked for next day Looking for individuals who display positivity in their working attitude and are able to to take direction from a supervisor Qualifications Prior kennel experience is highly desirable; familiarity with animal handling techniques is essential or in owning a pet a dog or cat that shows handling experience Ability to handle dogs and cats gently yet confidently while maintaining safety protocols.
