Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in,. This full-time position offers evening hours from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in their homes or community settings. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support clients with personal transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities Maintain cleanliness in the client's environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support Ability to observe patient behavior closely and communicate effectively with clients and families Familiarity with patient monitoring tools including vital signs measurement and medication management Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities; supporting intellectual disabilities support needs Proficiency in emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid; understanding of HIPAA compliance Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling when assisting with patient transfers or mobility tasks Join us at FirstLight Home Care where your compassion fuels your work!
