Job Overview We are seeking a caring and attentive Part-Time Caregiver to sit with clients in Gainesville, VA. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health monitoring. Duties Provide companionship and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being during scheduled sitting periods Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Help clients with mobility transfers using proper techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Facilitate client communication and engagement to promote mental stimulation and emotional comfort Qualifications Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support is highly valued Ability to observe patients carefully, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs requiring medical attention Strong skills in patient personal care assistance, manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe patient transfer methods Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus Excellent communication skills with clients and team members; compassionate attitude essential Join us to provide vital support that enhances independence and quality of life for those we serve.
