Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to join our team in Broad Run, VA, working 8-hour shifts. This vital role involves providing exceptional personal care and support to clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while maintaining safety standards. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities to promote community engagement. Maintain detailed care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ensure a safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols such as HIPAA regulations. Support clients in completing personal tasks and assist with mobility and manual handling to promote independence. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely and monitor vital signs accurately. Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and first aid/CPR certification. Experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Familiarity with care plans related to dementia or Alzheimer's disease and understanding residents' rights is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
