Job Overview As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Your primary focus will be to provide compassionate care and support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in social interactions and community engagement. Observe and document patient behaviors and changes in condition, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to resident rights at all times. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote independence and personal growth. Foster a supportive relationship with clients while respecting their dignity and individuality. Experience Previous experience in home health care or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with memory care techniques and patient observation practices is advantageous. Skills in meal preparation and maintaining cleanliness in living spaces are essential. !!!! The schedule is as written. Straight pay is offered. There is an option for weekly pay. The schedule currently is being offered for M-F 3:30PM-7:30PM and Saturday 10am-4pm.
