Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Live In Caregiver to join our team in Middleburg, VA. This vital role involves providing comprehensive in-home support to clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's. As a Live In Caregiver, you will be an essential part of promoting safety, comfort, and independence for those you serve, ensuring they receive respectful and attentive care in their own homes. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease management Use proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques to ensure safety Maintain detailed care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences Ensure resident rights are upheld while fostering a respectful and supportive environment Skills Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality Skilled in patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Experience with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Proficiency in caregiving tasks such as assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, and personal transportation assistance Ability to operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation of care activities Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications in hospice or geriatrics are advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
