Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate part-time caregiver to join our team immediately in Powhatan, VA. This vital role involves providing personalized care to clients with diverse needs, including elderly individuals, those with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory care or hospice support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly Support residents with medication administration and adherence to care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or errands Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and cleaning duties Use proper patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility tasks Experience Prior experience working with seniors or in assisted living facilities preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and hospice care best practices Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities highly valued Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Hands-on experience in patient monitoring, medication management, and care planning Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications in home health or long-term care are advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment Join us today to become part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional caregiving that truly makes a difference!
