Position Summary As a Companion Caregiver with Yahweh Yireh Cares, you will provide non medical companionship and homemaker support to clients in their homes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, building meaningful relationships, having conversations, and bringing joy and companionship into someone's day. You may spend time talking with a client, playing games, reading together, preparing a simple meal, helping with light household tasks, accompanying a client on an approved outing, or simply being a friendly and supportive presence. Every client is different, and every visit provides an opportunity to make someone's day a little brighter. What You Will Do Companion Caregivers may assist clients with: Providing companionship and friendly conversation Spending quality time with clients in their homes Reading, playing games, watching television, or participating in hobbies Preparing simple meals and snacks Light housekeeping Laundry and other routine household activities Shopping assistance Accompanying clients on outings Accompanying clients to appointments when appropriate Helping clients maintain a comfortable and pleasant home environment Providing encouragement and emotional support Helping clients stay socially connected Reporting changes or concerns to the appropriate Yahweh Yireh Cares supervisor What This Position Does Not Include This is a non medical companion and homemaker position . Companion Caregivers will not provide hands on personal care or medical services under this position. Duties do not include bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding assistance, physical transfers, hands on ambulation assistance, administering medications, or other medical or personal care activities unless specifically permitted under a separate service and applicable requirements. What We Are Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Compassionate Dependable Patient Trustworthy Respectful Friendly Responsible Good listeners Comfortable working independently Passionate about helping others Able to treat every client with dignity and respect Previous caregiving, companion, homemaker, hospitality, customer service, or senior care experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to consider individuals who have a genuine heart for serving others and are willing to learn. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Must be dependable and responsible Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and supervisors Must be able to work independently in a client's home Must be able to pass required background screening and employment checks Reliable transportation may be required depending on the client assignment Must be willing to follow Yahweh Yireh Cares policies and procedures Must maintain client confidentiality and respect each client's privacy Schedule We are hiring for a variety of schedules based on client needs and caregiver availability.
