Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals requiring help with daily activities. This role involves delivering personalized care in home environments. The Personal Care Attendant will play a vital role in ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for those under their care while adhering to all policy and procedures of the company. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling techniques. Monitor patients closely by observing their physical and emotional well-being, noting changes in condition or behavior for proper documentation and communication with company's office staff. Notation in the EVV system. Support medication reminders. Meal preparation and assisting clients with meal consumption while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Assisting client with appointments or community outings while ensuring client safety during transit. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks. Document patient interactions accurately, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and uphold residents' rights at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working home care settings is highly beneficial. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification if needed. Knowledge of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities support, dementia or Alzheimer's disease is preferred. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities demonstrating patience and adaptability in diverse caregiving scenarios. Strong understanding of patient personal care assistance, manual handling procedures, and patient transfer methods. Ability to follow detailed care plans while respecting resident's rights and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work independently. Pay:
$12.77 - $13.50 per hour
