Residential Support Provider (Addiction Recovery) About Anderson Treatment Anderson Treatment provides residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment throughout Virginia. We are looking for compassionate, reliable individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of people in recovery. We strongly encourage applicants with lived recovery experience to apply. M-F 4PM-12AM SAT&SUN 8AM-8PM
Position Summary Residential Support Providers help create a safe, structured, and recovery focused environment for clients living in our residential treatment programs. This role works closely with residents and the treatment team to support daily operations and encourage positive recovery outcomes. Responsibilities Supervise and support residents throughout the shift Conduct routine resident rounds and monitor activities Encourage participation in groups, chores, and program activities Help maintain a safe, clean, and recovery focused environment Complete urine drug screens and other resident monitoring activities Respond appropriately to emergencies, conflicts, and crisis situations Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Complete required documentation and reports accurately and on time Participate in team meetings and trainings as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license required Strong communication and problem solving skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries while supporting individuals in recovery Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, or overnight shifts as needed Preferred Qualifications Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or currently pursuing certification Experience working in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, human services, or residential care Personal recovery experience Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during shifts Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to complete documentation and monitor residents throughout the shift Why Join Anderson Treatment?
