Job Overview Gentle Hands Home Care is seeking dependable, compassionate Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide non-medical in-home supportive care to clients throughout Northern Virginia. Our goal is to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. PCAs provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), support with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), companionship, supervision, and cueing based on each client's individual care plan. Responsibilities Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene Assist with toileting and bladder and bowel care needs Assist with eating and feeding when needed Help clients with walking, transferring, positioning, and mobility Provide supervision and cueing so clients can safely complete daily tasks Prepare simple meals Provide medication reminders Assist with grocery shopping and errands when required Provide companionship and emotional support Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care Assist with laundry and changing bed linens Accompany clients to appointments when required Observe and report changes in the client's condition Follow the client's individualized care plan and agency policies Maintain accurate documentation of services provided Protect client privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality Qualifications PCA, CNA, HHA, or relevant caregiving experience preferred Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and agency staff Reliable transportation Valid driver's license preferred Ability to pass required background checks Ability to meet applicable Virginia home-care employment requirements CPR/First Aid certification preferred Must be reliable and arrive for scheduled shifts on time What We Offer Flexible scheduling Full-time and part-time opportunities Competitive pay Supportive work environment Opportunities for additional hours Meaningful work helping clients remain safely and comfortably at home Apply Today Gentle Hands Home Care is hiring caring and dependable PCAs throughout Northern Virginia.
