Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Aide, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in various care settings. This energetic and rewarding position involves providing personalized assistance, fostering independence, and ensuring safety for residents with diverse needs. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care environments, you will be a key supporter in promoting dignity and well-being through attentive caregiving and compassionate support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies, to ensure safety and comfort Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and memory care techniques Experience in providing personal care services within home & community or long-term care settings Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, manual handling procedures, and the use of assistive devices like walkers or wheelchairs Ability to communicate effectively with clients who have cognitive disabilities or developmental disabilities Certification in CPR and First Aid is required to ensure preparedness for emergencies Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks throughout shifts Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
