Job Description
Join Our Caregiving Team Caring Touch is seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional Caregivers / Personal Care Aides to provide quality in-home support to individuals who need assistance maintaining their independence, safety, and quality of life. We are looking for caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping others and understand the importance of treating every client with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion . Caregiver Responsibilities Responsibilities may vary depending on the client's authorized plan of care and may include: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate Provide toileting and incontinence assistance Prepare meals and assist with eating when needed Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with errands and approved community activities Provide medication reminders as permitted Observe and promptly report changes in the client's condition or behavior Document services accurately and complete required visit records Follow the client's plan of care and agency policies Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries Follow infection-control, safety, and emergency procedures Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team Qualifications Applicants should: Be at least 18 years of age Have a high school diploma or GED, if required for the position Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional Have reliable transportation to assigned client locations Have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance when driving is required Be able to communicate effectively with clients and agency staff Be able to safely perform the physical requirements associated with assigned client care Be willing to complete required orientation and training Meet applicable background-check and employment-screening requirements Must be willing to travel to Williamsburg/Newport News. Previous caregiving, personal care, home care, CNA, PCA, DSP, or healthcare experience is preferred.
