Weekend Caregiver

Job Description

Position Summary:
The Full-Time Caregiver provides consistent, compassionate, non-medical support to a regular roster of clients, helping them live safely and comfortably at home. This role offers a stable schedule, the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients, and eligibility for full-time benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed, accounting for dietary restrictions Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and errands Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful, personalized activities Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices Provide medication reminders (not administration, unless certified/permitted by state law) Monitor and promptly report changes in client condition to the Care Manager Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided at each visit Build consistent, trusted relationships with a regular caseload of clients Follow each client's individualized care plan and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Prior caregiving experience preferred (personal, professional, or CNA/HHA certification a plus) Compassionate, dependable, and able to commit to a consistent full-time schedule Strong communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and required health screenings CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/assist clients up to 50 lbs with proper technique Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout a full shift Comfortable working in clients' homes, including with pets
