Job Description
Are you looking for a fun team to be part of? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Ethan Allen Residence, a warm and welcoming resident care home. We are looking for a full time, Weekend Baylor working Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10:30a-11:00p. As a caregiver, you will provide essential daily support and personal care to residents, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and comfortable in their home. This position requires someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others. This employee will be scheduled for 36 hours per week but will be paid for 40. This employee needs to be reliable, compassionate, and provide exceptional care to our residents at Ethan Allen Residence. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and ambulation of residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist in the transfer of patients between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Report any changes in residents condition to the nursing staff
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Requirements:
- Experience in home care or acute care settings is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Ability to provide behavioral health support to residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
