Job Description

Two Rivers Supervisory Unions Early Childhood Special Education Program has an immediate opening for a full-time 1:1 personal care attendant to support a young child within Chester Community's preschool program in Chester, VT. The position is Monday through Friday, and follows the school calendar. Additional hours during the summer may be available. Compensation is based on educational background and relevant experience.

Responsibilities include communication facilitation, carrying out programming designed by the educational team, supporting and facilitating social engagement with peers, and accessing learning opportunities. Physical responsibilities include personal care/hygiene, insuring physical safety, and participating in outdoor play during all seasons.

We are looking for a team member who finds joy in playing with and caring for young children, has a positive attitude, is collaborative, reliable, and eager to engage in new learning as part of a team.

Knowledge of early childhood development as well as prior experience with young children in preschool settings, is strongly preferred.
