Job Description
Position Summary The CYFS Respite Provider offers temporary, short-term care for children and youth receiving Children, Youth, and Family Services (CYFS). Respite services give parents, caregivers, and foster families a break from caregiving responsibilities while providing children with a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Essential Responsibilities Provide safe and appropriate supervision for children and youth. Engage children in age-appropriate activities at home or in the community. Encourage positive social interactions and healthy development. Follow each child's care plan and agency policies. Communicate with caregivers and CYFS staff as needed. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Report concerns or incidents promptly. Attend required trainings and meetings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working with children is preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass required background checks.
