Job Description

One young man. One home. Real Independence. We are looking for a compassionate individual or couple who can provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment. The ideal provider will enjoy helping others, be patient and dependable, and be committed to supporting independence and quality of life.
Location:
Bainbridge Island, Washington Compensation:
24-hour daily pay rate is determined by DDA guidelines, based on assessed support needs. This position also includes affordable housing.
Commitment:
This is a Live-in position including scheduled respite time off every week.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing a safe, stable, and comfortable home Assisting with personal care, routines and appointments as needed Offering companionship and encouragement with daily activities Supporting community involvement and recreational activities Encouraging independence and personal choice Maintaining a respectful, positive, and supportive environment Be able to provide transportation in a dependable and legally isured vehicle We are looking for someone who is:
  • Patient, caring, and trustworthy
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Organized. Keep records, meeting DDA required documentation.
  • High energy that doesn't run out. Some days you'll supply the momentum for both of you.
  • Comfortable supporting an adult with cognitive disabilities
  • Interested in helping someone build independence and enjoy an active, fulfilling life
  • An established Companion Home Provider or able and willing to meet DSHS requirements for becoming a Companion Home Provider.
  • Is legally authorized to work in the U.S., and able to pass a Washington background check including a fingerprint-based check
