- Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to an individual with diverse needs.
In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents across various care settings. Duties Assist resident with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, and mobility support as needed. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed. Maintain accurate care plans and document resident progress, medication administration, and other essential information following HIPAA regulations. Assist with medication management under nursing supervision, ensuring timely and correct administration. Perform light cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards in residents' living areas and common spaces. Support residents in participating in social activities and community outings to promote mental well-being and social engagement. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, or intellectual disabilities support experience is advantageous. Proven skills in patient observation, patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid certification (CPR included), and manual handling techniques such as heavy lifting or the use of Hoyer lifts. Familiarity with creating and following care plans while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards is essential. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach are key to building trusting relationships with residents and team members alike.
