This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a loving and supportive family environment.

About Us:

We live in a beautiful, safe neighborhood on Mercer Island and offer a comfortable room and board with private bathroom ($2000/month value) as part of this role. Our 15-year-old son is sweet and affectionate, enjoying activities like playing with cars, tossing balls, and spending time on his swing. He is non-verbal and experiences seizures, requiring attentive care and supervision. Our playful and funny 21-year-old daughter needs assistance with daily living skills. We are hands-on parents who value teamwork and collaboration. You will working in partnership with the parents and/or another caregiver in order to assure the wellbeing of the children.

Schedule:

Expected hours, 40-50/week

Monday-Thursday:
Morning:

6:30 AM

•8:30

AM & Afternoon/Evening:

3:00 PM

•8:00

PM Friday:
Full Day:

6:30 AM

•7:30

PM Occasional:

date nights and weekend hours; additional or alternative hours during holiday and school breaks.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining the safety and well-being of the kids Assisting with feeding, dressing, toileting, diapering, play Cleaning up after the children Doing the children's laundry Light meal prep for the children Drive to children's appointments and activities (family provides car if needed) Travel with the family

Qualifications:

Certified as a Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) caregiver or willing to obtain certification Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or special needs is preferred Warm, patient, and reliable Strong, physical health Collaborate team player Safe driving record Fluent English speaker Must be legal to work in the US Safe swimmer

Compensation:

Weekly salary range $1000

•$1100, based on experience and hours worked Free room, board and all utilities in a lovely home; gracious private room with en-suite bath and small kitchen appliances. Approximate value $2000/month Value of Total Compensation Package range ~$78,000 annually; $6500 monthly Includes a swim, fitness and tennis membership within walking distance Health insurance available through DDA If you are a caring professional who thrives in a family-oriented setting, we would love to hear from you!
