Overview Join our team as an In Home Caregiver! This role involves providing comprehensive support to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will be a vital part of creating a nurturing environment that promotes independence and enhances quality of life through attentive, respectful, and professional caregiving. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and accurately documenting findings to ensure optimal care. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and compliance. Support clients with mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding to promote health and well-being. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities that foster mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and reliable client mobility outside the home. Follow care plans meticulously while coordinating with healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care. Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, demonstrating preparedness for various situations. Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Strong background in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience managing patient confidentiality is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Familiarity with care for individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or intellectual disabilities is a plus. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in hospice care or geriatrics are advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and professionalism at all times.
