Job Description
Job Summary Weekend Caregiver 8am-6pm Shift Saturday and Sunday with occasional overnights Join our compassionate team as an Adult Family Home Caregiver, where your dedication and caregiving skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and dignity within a supportive home environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, engaging atmosphere that promotes independence and well-being for those in your care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and procedures. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care plans Follow resident's rights policies diligently to promote autonomy and respect in all interactions Implement behavior management techniques to support residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Requirements HCA Certification Required or CNA status Developmental Disabilities Training required within 4 months of hire Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or appointments if needed Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or cognitive challenges is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively support clients' needs and collaborate with team members Commitment to providing compassionate, respectful care that upholds residents' dignity and rights Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every individual receives the attentive care they deserve.
