Skagit County, WA Schedule:
Full-Time, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Summary We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and patient Caregiver / Behavioral Support Staff to provide support to independent clients who may need assistance with daily activities and behavioral needs. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys helping others maintain their independence while providing respectful, consistent, and person-centered support. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to clients in their home and community Assist with daily living activities as needed Assist with medication management in accordance with training and state regulations Accurately document medication administration and care tasks using electronic charting systems Support clients with behavioral goals and individualized care plans Encourage independence, choice, and positive decision-making Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and basic household tasks Support clients with community outings, appointments, shopping, and activities Provide reminders and assistance with daily routines Use positive behavior-support techniques when challenging behaviors occur Maintain a calm, safe, and respectful environment Document services, behaviors, incidents, and client progress as required Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other team members Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and client support plans Qualifications & Requirements Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) , Home Care Aide (HCA) , or NAR (Nursing Assistant Registered) in Washington State Current certifications required (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Food Handler's Card, and any state-mandated training) Must be dependable, patient, respectful, and compassionate Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) Experience working with adults who have behavioral or mental health challenges preferred Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations Basic computer skills for electronic documentation Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer Supportive and respectful work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' lives How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief summary of your caregiving experience.
