About Just Like Home Elder Care LLC Just Like Home Elder Care is a small, assisted living residence in Chetek, WI, providing 24-hour care, advanced age care, and hospice-contracted services in a warm, homelike environment. Established in 1998 and locally owned, we focus on compassionate support, dignity, and safety for each resident. Position Overview We are seeking a caring, reliable Caregiver / Resident Assistant for our evening shift from 1 pm-9 pm. You will also be trained on morning shift duties so we can adjust schedules as needed over time. This is a hands-on caregiving role working directly with our elderly residents in a small, homelike setting.

Schedule Primary shift:

1 pm-9 pm Occasional coverage or schedule changes may require morning shifts (7am-1pm) Part-time or full-time options can be discussed during the interview. Key Responsibilities Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Offer kind, respectful supervision and companionship to residents Assist with medication reminders/administration per facility policy and training Help with meal setup, serving, and kitchen clean-up Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the supervisor Follow all safety, infection control, and facility policies Maintain a professional, calm, and patient demeanor with residents, families, and co‑workers

Qualifications Required:

Genuine interest in working with seniors and providing compassionate care Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job (standing, walking, lifting, assisting with transfers) Reliable, punctual, and able to work the 1 pm-9 pm evening shift Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Ability to pass required background checks per Wisconsin regulations Preferred (not required): CBRF certification Prior experience in assisted living, group home, or caregiving setting CPR/First Aid certification If you do not have experience, we are willing to train the right person who is dependable and eager to learn.
