Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to promote safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment that encourages independence and engagement. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, first aid, CPR certification, and manual handling procedures. Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA regulations, and home health or hospice care practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs is highly desirable.
